Angeles History
Roleplay:
The origins of House Angeles (an'jel ez) are shrouded in a mystery many centuries old. So long, in fact, that there are no records of its beginnings, nor is there mention of its role in the expansion through the Eve Gate. Stories persist that once House Angeles had been part of an immense influential order of nobles, an order spanning several systems of the Inner Rim. Yet today, whispers tell of a time when the House teetered on the brink of darkness, the outcome of a terrible betrayal.
Such is their shame that from that time, they have striven for absolution from the sins of decades past. Only a few nobles of House Angeles know the dreadful secret of what happened during the aftermath of the Caldari-Gallente war - a secret that drives the House to search throughout space and time for all that was lost; that was... taken.
A treaty was signed, Astartes Codec, agreed to by all five of the Great Houses in the Commenor system. It was a dark time for many; it was a dark time for all. The Great Houses had aligned themselves to resist the threats of war which were forming on the horizon. Trade routes detoured, merchant guilds dissolved, resources levied and unjust laws created unrest to all those within the Caldari sphere of influence. The Commenor system was not prepared to accept such changes...
No one is to know when or in what numbers they came, but they did. Imperial forces would not allow individual pockets of resistance to exist, which they felt to be disobedience. These times brought devastation and waste to the system of Commenor. Within the it, House Asmodia and House Requiel bore the brunt of the fighting; time and time again a lost battle being dealt to these Great Houses. The other five Houses soon assembled fleets with their embattled brothers only to meet a common fate - Commenor Prime was ruthlessly bombarded till little was left of the giant cities and spires that once stood… Then came the countless ground forces.
House Orus, House Arkanis and House Angeles regrouped with their officers and prepared to fight a guerilla war on Commenor Prime when an ultimatum of surrender was given to them. With honor, no reply was sent.
However, it was discovered that there was a traitor within their ranks. Colonel Adumar of House Angeles, in an act of unprecedented treason, assassinated his own Duke and fled for Imperial space. It was soon discovered that the Colonel had been leaking strategic information to Caldari Prime, but it was of course far too late. The aligned Houses had insufficient forces remaining to hold up resistance beyond a few weeks. The fighting spread from city to city, building to building, house to house and then, abruptly, ended.
Very little remained living in the Commenor system – and its gate was destroyed. A few noblemen from the Great Houses escaped capture or death and traveled out into the Mid and outer Rim systems, where most were never heard from again. Several loyal to House Angeles found each other ... to begin again. They wish nothing else but to regain lost freedom, wealth and power that was once theirs, forever tied to the notion that their arrogance, their defiance to the Caldari Empire had cost billions of lives.
House Angeles now stands handicapped of the noble privileges and status it once had, forced to deal with the underworld; with such scum and villainy found only in low-sec space...
So is their great shame.

A brief history of House An'geles, AngelCor and a general idea of who we are...
House An'geles formed in early 2003 as a group of gamers eagerly anticipating Sony's Star Wars Galaxies MMORPG. We played on the Naritus server and were, in conjunction with guilds like RAID, responsible for many server and game firsts. Over the several years in which we were involved with Galaxies our core remained steady and vigilant. Through our postings to the community and interactions in game we proved ourselves to be some of the most respectful, formidable and enterprising on the server.
Early on in the game we spearheaded a galaxy-wide commercial mining operation dubbed AngelCor. Using the mechanics of the game, we employed miners from within and outside our ranks in order to more efficiently bring resources to the marketplace. At its peak AngelCor enlisted close to 50 full time employees each of whom made an average of 1 million credits per week for an investment of 30 minutes to an hour per day (A great income at that time). We were, through it all, able to price competitively and offer our most loyal of clients great incentives.
After the infamous, and inaccurately named "Combat Upgrade" and the following "New Game Enhancements" the majority of our server came to the realization that the game was no longer fun. Our guild moved to a variety of other games, primarily World Of Warcraft, where many are still today within the ranks of other guilds. No matter where they go, however, our members always find themselves reunited in various locales.
Having played in multiple games with varied groups of people I can quite honestly say that the average HA player stands apart. We tend to draw our members not from the l337 h4xX0r crowd, but from a more mature, generous, and skilled playerset.
And so we now find ourselves heading for space in EVE Online. We're new to this universe and hope to make a lasting mark. The game, however, is much larger than we have ever been a part of, and we know that we'll be needing to grow to reach our desired goals.
This is where you may come in.
If what you've read sounds like a group of people you'd fit well with please submit an application. You can see our needs under the recruitment module. Currently recruiting is open for all classes. We look forward to getting to know you and hope you'll make a great addition to our family.
